Emma Braun
De Smet Jesuit High School
After graduating from Regis Jesuit High School in 2016, I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines with a minor in honors public affairs. Following two years of industry engineering experience, I began reflecting on returning to Jesuit education and serving as an ASC. Now, I am thrilled to be headed to De Smet Jesuit High School, where I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the students and the community. I’m hopeful to provide to the same engaging and supportive environment I was able to grow in when I was a student.

Matthew Dorsey
De Smet Jesuit High School
I graduated from St. Louis University High School in 2018, and I received my degree in English from the University of Notre Dame in 2022. I am a strong believer in the value of Catholic education, and I cannot overstate how much the Jesuit educational tradition shaped who I am today. I am ecstatic to begin my service at De Smet Jesuit High School and teach English to freshmen and sophomores.

Kyle Hannan
St. Louis University High School
Influenced by eight consecutive years of Jesuit education, I felt the calling to share the joys and lessons I have found through my journey with the Jesuits. I eagerly look forward to launching this adventure as a Theology teacher in the ASC program at St. Louis University High School. My education at SLUH was my first introduction to the Jesuit core values. These values stuck with me through my time at Rockhurst University where I earned my B.A. in psychology with a minor in philosophy. I believe my studies have allowed me to better understand how we can effectively practice the Jesuit core value of cura personalis. I am humbled by the opportunity to teach the brilliant minds of SLUH, and I look forward to the coming school year.

Joseph Merrick
De Smet Jesuit High School
After graduating from De Smet Jesuit High School in 2017, I studied for six years at Missouri State University, achieving my Bachelor of Science in Education and my Master of Arts in History. Now that I am preparing to take my next step in my life, I look forward to giving back to the school and the teachers that inspired me to take up the path of teaching. I look forward to teaching History at De Smet and helping the eSports club and Theater shows in their endeavors!

Chris Staley
St. Louis University High School
I graduated from St. Louis University High School in 2019 and journeyed two hours West where I got my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri in Columbia. I wouldn’t be the man I am today if not for the Jesuit education I received in high school. It allowed me to see the good in all people and learn the things I did at Mizzou. I am ecstatic to bring what I know back to SLUH this next year. I will be teaching Chemistry and helping with extracurriculars as well! I am super excited to get back to my roots and help grow the next generation of young men!
